Coffee

When she drinks coffee her lips reach out to meet the cup and her eyes close. She takes one short breath in, getting more steam than liquid. Opens her eyes again, lets out a breath, bites both lips, and sets the coffee down. A moment goes by that feels like days and she cradles her drink again. Her lips reach and her eyes close and if I could freeze time I'd be at the end of every one of those. Turning moments into days as I linger on her lips. My face held in place by her finger tips.
