coasting

At
The pier,
We gazed at
This wide mirror,
Unable to see ourselves.
Hey, just wait until dawn -
Wait until the sun rises -
And then maybe we'll understand
The meaning of this messy life...
Just kidding, look at me - [do you believe?]
Walking with sleepy eyes, just coasting,
Talking on without much boasting;
Today the sea is cloudy,
But I can see clearly.
For you, I'll ramble
Just to prove I'm
Living for
Me.

I read this twice because I feel like one read won't allow you to appreciate it as much as you will if you really take it in. Great job with this piece.
