Clueless
Clueless?
My highly polished shiny shoes
Were one of many little clues
Like donning all my fancy ties
And buying sets of cuff link diamonds -
Perhaps the sparkling caught your eye?
No?
So what about my brand new
Gold rimmed glasses?
My sudden interest in photography classes?
Ironing my wrinkled shirts?
Flirting with your friends at work?
Plucking my brows?
Washing the towels?
Working out?
How could you NOT know?
The clues were there
Right under your nose
Maybe you just didn’t care –
That’s fair
But you can’t start caring now
It doesn’t count
Not after months of letting go –
Hell No!
That’s not love
That’s FEAR
Of being alone
