Wonderful use of personification, Valerie! You accomplish a great deal with scant few words. We all feel like the weather is insulting just us when we have plans, you know? I always find myself saying, "Typical..." Warm regards, John.

Powerful image that is quite timely now, especially here in Florida as hurricane season is underway. Nice use of personification for "Arrogant clouds." The reader can almost see them stomping "across a summer sky." Thank you for sharing this, Valerie. Love, Carolyn
