Clouded Love Slam

A hex,
A spell of dark magic
In witches cauldron to stir

Not for death
But rather to suffer well

In this life not the afterlife

For crimes against my broken heart
that brought me to this place

I wish 7 decades of bad luck you trace
the cracks in every mirror my
heart was shattered into

And yet i love you so

And if you said i've made a grave mistake

A feast for you I'd make

In fact i'd even bake you a cake

Ah, that blasted number 7. I baked a cake yesterday, Carrot Cake, iced it with philly cheese, and lemon juice icing. Delicious, it filled a vacancy, a hole in a day of solitude and considering stories I have been reading here, and I do read extensively; considering a lot of things, like now and the future. You must have ESP Flaherty. Some people (a lot), hold more than 7 years worth of bad luck....and they'll still bake a cake for you. Eventually, I believe as some (not the majority), karma eventually comes through and it saves the day, pulls you through. Keep writing. It's a gift. Solitary, but it's a true gift, and through it, the answers will arrive in a tsunami. Love this poem. Very prophetic poem Flaherty. Sending love and good wishes, always. Leanne
