Closer To You

I need what I thirst for
Her presence fulfills me
Quenches what I yearn for
She's with me all the time
I keep her on my mind
It's not enough; I need more.
Let my eyes engulf you,
Or make me blind;
My vision can't consume
Another flower
That isn't at full bloom.
And I do mean to sound rude
When I say,
There isn't a shape
With the same symmetry as you
You laugh,
Am I a jester at heart
Silently playing a fool
Or do my demands bring a smile
And by inches,
bring me closer to you.
