Closer To the Sun

Climbing closer
To the sun
The winding trail
The creek crossings
The beaver dam
And felled trees
A snake in the grass
Butterflies everywhere

Feeling older
With rubber legs
And yet,
There is so much
left undone
in the world

I like the simplicity of this and also the angst about time slipping away.
