Closer Than a Brother
When I was cheated,
He took my anger.
When I was hurt,
He took my pain.
When I was rejected,
He took my sadness.
When I was humiliated,
He took my shame.
When no one wanted me,
He called me Friend,
And when I fell from His Grace,
He reached down and said, 'Give Me your hand.'
I was alone,
And He called me His Child.
