Closer At Far

Looking at the vastness of the sky
I know ~ we are two poles apart~
But my heart says,
you're closer to me.

Yes, you're closer to me
like my lips to a flute
when I play "Moonlight Sonata",
like my fingers to the guitar strings,
when I strum nocturnal love songs
that travel faraway to reach you.

You're closer to me~
as the wind touching seagull's wings;
as the ivory foam kissing thirsty shore;
as your whisper caressing my soul.

So many wonderful, visceral images JCB - "the wind touching seagull's wings," "fingers to the guitar strings," "lips to a flute." Such beautiful pictures of intimacy - even "poles apart." Congratulations on your first place. This is so well written!
