Closed Eyes

It’s more than pictures.
In my head.
It’s all 3-D.
It’s all and everything.
Morphing softly and happily,
Like a frog hopping on lily pads,
But the lily pads grow further apart.
Musical thoughts.
Strumming, instrumental.
I close my eyes, to stop the ringing.
I close my eyes, because I like to.
My mind might run out someday…
To go the store and read a magazine.
My eyes are closed.
Nighttime doesn’t bother me anymore.
My eyes are closed.
