The gates of my heart are still closed
  guarded with a stone wall
still standing tall
waiting for the day it will be opened
showing all the love, hatred, depression, joy and sadness
  it holds
holding strong to my emotions
without the notation of what will become of me
because of the things I have seen
using all my five senses against me
Taste-bitter was the taste of something that use to be sweet
Sight-blind sided by what's right in front of me and not looking at what it could be
Touch-I reached out to touch what's right in front of me and it fades away
Smell-the sweet smell of lavender that faded away
Sound-hearing the familiar voices that torments me even when I sleep
still waiting for the rose petals to settle and re-open my heart

so tender - I love the first thought of having a stone wall and a gate to our heart - so very true! So much feeling in this - like it very much
