Close Your Eyes To Open Them

CLOSE YOUR EYES TO OPEN THEM

Close your eyes to open them,
	this is the road to nothingness,
	wrap yourself in the cloud of unknowing.
Only when the eyes are shut can one see
	the pure light inside,
	the ultraviolet spectrum hanging
	like the prism on the dark side of the moon;
	vital power.
Close your eyes to open them,
	lose yourself in that forgetting;
	Eden’s veil not from the apple
	nor the tree of knowledge
But to choose free will and by that stroke
	start the cycles of fear,
	absence and rejection.
Close your eyes to open them,
	forget what you think to be true
	and accept you will never know
	any measure of truth
	in this sapient form.
Close your eyes to open them,
	this is not a paradox
	or a mystical riddle,
	oneness lies in nothingness.
Close your eyes to feel the cloud
	and be a particle of heavenly lightfog.

We should be open to all possibilities, 'lose yourself in forgetting' -apropos! So well spoken Phil.

Thank you Andrea, earlier today I read the poem at the Northern Lights Buddhist Men's Meeting and they seemed to enjoy it. Thanks again for liking.
