Close Friend
My close friend,
I read through poems that you shared
And the depressing feels that came through,
Felt like I had failed the friend whom
I had promised to be there for.
Promised that I would be the friend who
Asked how things been
And would checked up on your day.
My close friend,
I heard the songs that you shared
And the lyrics that you had related too,
Made me relate to those as well.
I'm sorry that I didn't made an effort
To send a text asking how you felt
And see how I could made you feel warmth.
My close friend,
I made you a promise that
Was failed to keep and it breaks my heart
To even write this lyric.
Maybe when you read this lyric
My close friend,
That instead of saying out from my brain,
But from the bottom of my heart.
