Close

Close,
Shut it in my face,
Confuse me,
But I have to run this race.

So close down,
My turn,
The only rubber that I burn,
And I take my step to learn.

Closer still,
Take a sleeping pill,
So I can keep these thoughts in my head,
Gotta get ready for bed.

Closer,
Closer I go to my goal,
And all I want to know is down below,
And far from the suffering we go through.

Dont tell me that I wont make it,
Because your ignorance makes me want to get closer,
And the more I think about it,
The more I see.

Closer I wander,
And farther I stray,
In and out of it,
And here I stand.

Waiting on the world to change,
But I cant wait,
And the actions I take only turn things negative,
And the closer I get,
The farther I stray.
