Clocks Never Look Back
Except when daylight saves them one hour behind.
Otherwise ticking to everything destinations;
Their arms moving relentlessly forward,
As many living things fall helplessly by the wayside.
I've watched them you know as they've watched me;
When I close my eyes so happy they never stop.
To wake to ticks that beat with my heart so gloriously,
Gifting me with more minutes I wasn't sure I deserved.

"A poem to me is the essence of any thought,
Being built from its foundation into tower scraping sky.
It can fly like no other bird to places never seen,
Even spaceships can only dream of taking its place."
