Clinging To Nothing

Tangled up in your sheets,
trying to make seconds last
Except for no-matter what we did,
the time it sped by so fast

The clock was a ticking time bomb,
soon it was gonna explode
You held me like you could stop time,
like our whole world wouldn't implode

The moment I stepped on that place,
that each second took me away
As tightly as we clung together,
In the end, I could never stay

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
