Climb
Climb
On reaching atop the mountain of life,
I turned around, glanced to see how far I'd climbed,
A broken, unruled path was mine,
Rocks and thorns and tremors defined.
The decisions I made,
The regrets I had,
Distant down the path I laid,
From where I stood, they didn't look bad.
The view from up here beautiful.
I made the climb to see this sight,
This was heaven for me,
And others who followed me up will see,
How beautiful life truly is,
The climb worth the tale,
To inspire others to spread their sails,
And choose the climb over the regretful walk,
Enjoy the view from the mountain top.
