climate change

the rain makes me think about you
and how i miss who you used to be
it's dark and gloomy
perfectly mirroring how i feel now
i would've never seen you like this
you used to be so beautiful in my eyes
a sunset over the ocean
big bright stars in the night
a rainbow stretched through the sky
i never thought i'd see you as rain
you always put me in the best moods
a smile on my face in the darkest times
now you're the one taking away my peace
giving me even darker times
ones i didn't know existed
i genuinely never saw this coming
maybe from anyone else, sure
but never from you
we've always been inseparable
how much of it was a lie?
i can barely even stand to look at you now
without thinking of everything
do you think about it too?
when you look at me?
you'll now always be my rain
and i'm not sure i'm anything to you
