Clearing Land
Along the quite, peaceful country road
a weeping willow, weeps over me.
As I meander down this quite lane.
I take a moment to reflect,
while sitting on a moss covered log.
Watching and surveying the natural bush,
the last of the pristine, un-cleared land.
I sought out this solitary spot.
I picked a small buttercup,pondering,
With the clearing, comes death to this thicket.
A small paradise, lost to forest destruction.
Something mother nature cannot restore.
This perfect image will soon be in the past.
Open fields, will soon replace this small paradise.
Only sadness, with the forest destruction.
What flourished for centuries, will
flourish no more.
