Cleaning House
I fluffed up the love,
and, spread the joy that it casts.
And, I dusted away,
bad memories from my past,
and stored the good memories,
because I want them to last.
And, I pulled back the curtains,
so that my view would be clear.
A window of clarity,
without even one smear.
Then, I washed and I scrubbed,
the old scars, 'til smooth.
And, I didn't bother to contemplate,
my next healing move.
I quickly whisked away,
any webs, that were haunting.
And, trashed them, along with any
thoughts, that were taunting.
I even found a canister,
to seal the negativity in,
and there it will keep,
because I buried it deep,
along side anger, hatred, and spite.
And, with my house cleaning done,
I'll sleep good tonight.
