Clean Name Bereft of Blame Game

Undone
No problem
Dog gone
Grow solemn in Harlem, but think clean name bereft of blame game

Which advances your worthy cause
In form and substance
Required to insert a new clause
In the wake of a changed circumstance

Despite bites of June mornings
When blankets and layers of beddings warm
Bodies stuck in fast deteriorating dwellings
As protagonists and antagonists betray a lukewarm

Posture and you wander about
Asking why matters you deemed in place
Suddenly sprout
A disgrace in the face of the ace

Whose intervention from a distant past tear apart well laid plans
Articulated after delicate and exacting negotiations
To transport cargoes of unresolved bits and pieces in vans
Filled to the brim at filling stations where stallions

Revolted, cavorted and inverted
Dishes, pots, saucepans and kettles
Converted
Into nettles

That in the fullness of time
Shot to the surface to unleash horrors
Which opted to climb
Walls with crumbling masonry to spread terrors

That ripped apart the conference room
In which you pledged to renew wedding vows
When green monsters chose to zoom in and spread gloom and doom
In front and back rows

Where guests scampered to safety
Leaving behind snacks
Smashing the fragile property
With ice cold packs

That broke up the gathering
Scattering flower vases in all directions
When presiding clergymen decided the ring
Promoted insurrections

To postpone discussions to a later
Date agreed upon by stakeholders
Who made up their mind it was better
To save a clean name bereft of any blame game that only brought more shame.
