Clean and Sober

It was a situation that I could no longer sweep under the rug I had to get a handle on my addiction to drugs I knew that I could not cope with rehab nor a twelve-step plan I placed the answer to my problem in God's omnipotent hands I believed that the Lord gave a tremendous strength to me and with the Holy Spirit I could claim the victory clean and sober is now how I live my life with daily prayer and meditation on the word of Jesus the Christ It was not an easy process at times it was difficult and hard but I trusted that all I would require would come from the Lord God I hope that this poem will enable someone else to realize that with God on your side you can win the greatest prize
