Claws

Lonliness has set in once again,
I only hope it doesn't last.,
It's claws do catch me now and then,
Tearing and bending my spirit in their grasp.
My mind tires, my body shakes,
I wonder how long before my courage wakes.

Emotions uprooted from long ago,
Plant themselves blindly now
In barren soil and cannot grow.
This only adding to the chaotic calamity
Of losing someone near,
Because of an ever changing personality,
Pride, vanity and fear.

Emotion changes, time rearranges,
Images fall and shatter,
But we were only acting
So what is the matter,

Act one is jumbled and shot,
The script may be torn,
Everything but forgot,
My memory is still warm...

The claws of lonliness grasp me now and then. I just surround myself with people. I don't even have to know or speak to them. - Excellent poem that you put to pen. Keep up the good work my poetic friend. Best Wishes Always Robert, Bill
