Civil Twilight

As darkness calls teases, tempts taunts curiosity the daft succumb to the dimming light exhale the hubris of humanity disguise the shadows of history mock the presence of a past resist the changes of the light abhorrent in its fading lies marauding mimes in motionless array thoughtless within self made boxes paw at invisible restraints drawn into a darkness yet to come. ©2/25/2019 Pick A Title – Free Verse Poetry Contest Civil Twilight Edward Ibeh - sponsor
