City That Never Sleeps

Standing alone
cold at the corner
You see your friends on the other side

The air is sharp
it hides your tears
No one knows the pain you feel

It's a lost cause
just push it away
Trying to walk the other way

Getting so close
give it more time
You see the smile that makes it all go away
