'city of the Dead'
The portal to the past exists beyond an old gate,
in the city of the dead the beloved wait;
on her elaborate tomb is an ancient date,
his love so great that he built her a monument.
The entry is serpentine iron, quite ~ ORNATE ~,
and her tomb- his architectural excellence;
in time this man also took up residence,
it is written ~ he was a man quite prominent.
My research found the story in a document,
the man built his wife a grand resting place mansion;
even after her young passing he held his passion,
coming each day with flowers opulent.
and that he became a recluse . . . .
