City of Sin

we're all living in a city of sin The most heartless people usually have the prettiest grins Surrounded by sharks and they didn't expect me to swim They could smell the blood on me Had to take risks and lose some things in order to Get me the win Had people to prove wrong as I've never felt the love on me Had to pull myself out the dirt all they did was help place mud on me Parents were too busy drinking to teach me how to tie my shoelaces Fell a few times when I travelled to new places But I got back up and carried on travelling my path Making it to the future is a must, so I carry on battling my past I miss one of my exes a lot but I know she's not meant to be here right now She'll always be a queen but it's not me who's meant to make her wear that crown I've lost love and gained scars In a world where the whole world are wishing under the same stars Some act better because they're richer or smarter I was made fun of, because from my birth I've had to be my own father Backstabbing, Bullying and Hating is the norm these days I'm the only one with the balls big enough to be honest and walk through the storm these days I've numerous flings, dated many girls but I'm yet to marry one Everyone's a coward these days, so they use knives and Carry guns I'll stand still while you get your target locked I dare you to take your hardest shot I guarantee you won't make this artist drop I've made mistakes, stumbled, fell Walked on broken pavements, walked through the Jungle, hell So go ahead judge me on my scars and flaws You've never seen a heart this pure I write from my heart but my art is yours But the pen is mine, I'm not passing the torch I'm just done covering my feelings and masking my thoughts I'm going to make the world know what I feel My words show that I'm real The most heartless people usually have the prettiest grins Surrounded by sharks and they didn't expect me to swim I'm staying true to myself as we're all living in a city of sin
