Notes About The Poem

City Life

Your day starts in disheveled chaos: you shower, skip breakfast, and eat on the run. Chasing down a crowded bus: you gulp down a cold coffee, and follow the herd to work. You gripe and curse city life: while, all the while, you love it. Like a rhythmic heartbeat: the pulse of the city; lets you feel you're alive. And through veiled anonymity in the shadows, you enjoy peace of mind. And modern amenities; make city strife all worthwhile. Here, one can dine on chef-inspired cuisine or choose to eat at a fast-food joint. Each rung higher up success's ladder, brings your dreams one step closer to fulfillment. Opportunity seldom ventures far from the city: that's why you choose to stay despite fighting the traffic every day.

Sounds about right! City livers love the lifestyle. My son lived in the city for awhile.
