City Dawn

Predawn avenues hear
concrete whispers.
Dark voices echo as the
rising sun
replenishes thousands of cities
with warmth.

Midtown sleeps as
a love song of the night
is heard in the shadows;
haze of mists
scans the streets
and covers the park in peace.
