Citadelle

does your head hurt too?
the afternoon is over and I still don't have the courage
to see myself in the mirror, you know?
these streets ruined my car
and there's the annoyance with the clock
my disgusting enemy
I'm hating the news
I no longer know how to position myself
I don't know which side I'm on
and there are still visits
a movie that only gets worse
the pain goes away I know but that thing remains
the concern, I don't know
could I turn down the volume of the world!
after all this is still the way
or have we arrived?

It seems almost as if this came from my own head. Well done, you have achieved what many poets strive towards: hitting just the right spot in the reader's mind or heart.
