Circle of Life

Faded blue jeans
Roaming in bare feet
The warmth of spring
Following winter’s sweep.

Wind in your hair
As fresh linens sway
A fiery sunset
Burning the end of day.

Rains soft rhythm
Shadowing thunder’s boom
Washes away
Winter’s icy gloom.

Geese serenade
Soaring Eagles flight
Nature astir
From it’s buried plight.

Trees budding
Ground sprouts green
No longer chilled
By winter’s scene.

Children laugh
Animals play
Excitement abounds
On that first warm day.

Signs of spring
Fill the sky
Nests prepare
For babies cry.

Doors open
Fresh air sweeps in
The circle of life
Continues to spin.

I can see those fresh linens swaying in the breeze on a welcome spring day, Deborah! How true that the "circle of life" is never more evident than in the spring. Beautiful poem!

Smile~What a very well written and flowing write Deborah! Filled with peaceful and serene images! Laced within vivid pictures and common occurences seen as the cycles of life repeat themselves! In this case, a welcoming of spring and the pleasures which it brings after a long cold winter! Wonderful write! Warmth and blessings to you and yours, John! Have a very beautiful day~ bye!:)
