Circle of Life

Circle of Life

Days are in late Autumn, Winter approaches fast,
Spring and Summer long finished, youthful ever last.
Leaves have lost their lustre, crinkled with signs of age,
The book almost read, at the turning of every page.
Nights are long, days are short, do I wish for rebirth.
In all honesty, No, I’ve enjoyed my time on Earth.
Nature can be cruel, lifetime is short not eternal,
Living is not infinite, at some point we close the circle.

“The book almost read at the turning of every page” — well done :)
