Church
Today, I went to my church
My church is not a building
It is not a person to go listen to
It is a place where I go
and I know I am there when I arrive
It just so happens that when I experience a crossroad here in my new country
The old country
The crossroad is usually at the pass of a church.
Today, I just went outside for a drive
I had no idea where I was going
I just drove and drove and drove
I made a left here
went straight for a while
then turned right at the third exit of a roundabout
A friend once told me never worry about getting lost.
because all roads lead to home
My phone battery was dying
and I had to go pee
I was just driving
and I turned a corner
and there was my crossroad
and I stopped.
I was in front of the church
I parked my car and gave thank you to my gods
For my life and the life that I am living.
