Christmas Without Magic

Christmas without any magic, Would be the darkest of days, There wouldn’t be any presents, Without the wonder of Santa’s ways, The lights in the eyes of the children, Would become as dull as the light-less tree, Now standing outside in the garden, And not in the house as should be, There would be no cards on the mantle, No messages from family and friends, No reason to think of our loved ones, Or for our faults make amends. And without the greatest miracle, Of our own dear Saviours birth, There would be no hope for all mankind, No peace for men on Earth, No non-deserved forgiveness, For the many times we fail, And no happily ever after, At the end of our life’s long tale.
