Christmas Will Never Cease To Be
If there were no shining Christmas Lights
No Silver Bells or Silent Nights
If there were no gifts beneath the tree
Would Christmas cease to be?
If there was no tasty holiday fare
No people gathering here or there
If no crowds went from shop to shop
Would Christmas simply stop?
The answer of course is a resounding no
For Christmas came quite long ago
Christmas was before the tree
Before the gifts for you and me
Christmas brought the shepherds and kings
The angel songs and the giving of things
For one small child was born
On that very first Christmas morn
He is why the star shone bright
On that Midnight Clear and Holy Night
The faithful come and He is the reason
And now, we gather and worship at this special season
So, if there were no shining Christmas Lights
No Silver Bells and Silent Nights
Still He came - for you and for me
And Christmas will never cease to be.
