Christmas Tree

A Trois-par-Huit for December
Poetry Contest-Andrea Dietrich

Stars on top. Ornaments dance and bop. Strings of colorful lights tied the knot, blinking happily as one on the branch, they sought. A kiss of ribbon and tinsel seals the lips spot, ceremoniously dressed for thee. A sign of His decree. Christmas tree.

Connie, you will always be a duck. But a cute duck. Not everyone can be a swan.

A sweet poem that only needed to be divided into three verses. Congrats in my contest and merry Christmas, Connie

Dear Connie, I loved how your Christmas tree carried that cozy holiday glow of the joy in simply standing back and taking it all in. It certainly puts me in that festive spirit. Amen! Holiday Blessings, Dear Connie, Daniel

Daniel, thank you for leaving me a cup of tea, touched with a spoonful of honey and an extra sugar cube. That was really nice. Happy Holidays to you and everyone's festive spirit.

Lin, there were 100's of pinecones decorating the tree, more candles, and a log fireplace lighting up the room, than lights. The coziness of the room brought comfort from that cold Norwegian winter, where I'd play outside, ski and skate, in the wonderland. Mom's turkey, ham, and salmon dinner was unforgettable. Then there were decorated cookies galore. It was a great childhood. Thank you for the visit down memory lane.

I remember the look of a tree as it lights the room. Special Moments when children are young.
