Christmas- the Big Day

Christmas (The Big Day)

Christmas Eve, wow, the last day, before the big day
Mamas in the kitchen, banging pots n’ pans
Dad in his slippers is stretched out in the den.
The Christmas tree stands 10ft. tall
If this night isn’t over soon, I’d surely die-

Tick, tock, tick tock, the clock moves so slowly
I sneak a peek inside my Christmas stocking
Ooh the goodies I see
Makes my eyes open wide-

Presents are neatly stacked under the tree
I’ve counted at least three, and my name is on them all
Mama comes out of the kitchen and says-
"Now, now, be patient darling, the big day is almost here" -

Sorry to hear that. We must create our own happiness, even though there are some people who put a damper on our perceptions and pique us. Thank you for your comment-
