Christmas Thanks

Hanging the baubles Hanging the bows Hanging the balls And mistletoes Adorning the home front With symbols of joy Brings excitement to faces Of each girl and boy For they all know soon That Santa appears Just as he’s done before Year after year But as they get older Their smiles e’er remain Even though their belief Has gone down the drain I guess it’s the season This true reason for peace Is why they all smile With kindness released Their now giving hearts Were trained to so give By the goodness of Santa And the true King that lived It may quickly come And too quickly pass But the joy remains strong With Christ in Christmas So for each Christmas Tree With a new “holiday” name Remember the true reason To keep the season the same All filled with kindness In the season to forgive Give thanks to the child That taught how to live
