Christmas Spirit

I must do something special this year, I thought,
Above all my celebration a lot;
Seeking a poor and making his/her life better?
Or, finding an orphan child a permanent shelter...?
Millions of lowly are living around me,
Though mine is a nation considered to be free;
Even sharing my single day's meal with them,
Would make them feel like a costly gem;
Poor are poor; are they born for this, yet?
Is poverty a gift or a cause of an inhuman mindset?
Well, what would one gain from discussing philosophy?
What each one needs is filial theosophy;
Gautam Buddha said once: when a thorn pokes some,
Do not ask why and where and how; do the need-some;
Mine, during this Christmas, is, perhaps a starting,
A mission well-begun, I know often keeps wisdom imparting...!
