Christmas Sonnet

Serenity prevails let's celebrate
It's Christmas and goodwill surrounds us all
Spellbound by spruce tree we will decorate
Magical season holds us in its thrall.

Message of love in humble stable born
Epistle of peace, may goodwill persist
In the hardest of hearts warmth does sojourn
Christmas ignites fuse how could they resist?

Nativity tableau and candlelight
Incense pervades chapel this holy hour
Moment divine all is perfectly right
Cherish always this momentous power.

Wonderful message of faith, hope and love
Everlasting image of pure white dove.
