Christmas, Really

The little child lies sleeping
Silent
Still

While the world rejoices
Thankfully
Loudly

The gift, the hope, the miracle
Generously
Given

Hope is born and celebrated
Yearly
Now

Merry Christmas to you all,
But take with you each day
The feeling of new hope
Granted freely, lovingly.
