CHRISTMAS PREVAILS

Christmas prevails with blest spirit of hope
Heralding Messiah’s eternal gift
Imparting peace around compassion* scope.

Offering peace wrapped with forgiveness rope
To secure love and care upon faith’s lift
Christmas prevails with blest spirit of hope.

Glad tidings deafen crises though hearts grope
Holidays meant to bridge enmity-rift 
Imparting peace around compassion scope.

Reaching gracious reconciliation slope
Partnerships transcend differences’ shift
Christmas prevails with blest spirit of hope

Yuletide offers kindness; yea, not nope
Good cheers linger as past conflicts flee swift
Imparting peace around compassion scope

Since God upholds each season’s divine cope
We can pray and seek for constant uplift
Christmas prevails amidst spirit of hope
Imparting peace around compassion scope.

Psalm 145:8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
