Christmas Present
There it sits
Adorned in gold and red
Waiting for that someone
That special one to come
To unwrap and expose
A gift laid
Waiting for those hands
That gently pull at the bow
A careful rip at the gold paper
The present is given
Ah, to enjoy
The pleasure of unwrapping
That perfect gift, desired present
Allowing ourselves the merriment
Of making our own
Yet, it is a gift
That is given freely
With no strings, just hopes
That it brings smiles, happiness
To the one
