Christmas Poem
May peace reign down on earth for Christmas
As we celebrate the Holy birth
The day baby Jesus Christ was born
Who came to walk amongst men on earth.
For our sakes God’s only Son was sent
With just a manger for Him to rest
Angels placed upon His tiny head
A hallowed halo heavenly blessed.
Greeting cards may bestow warmth to hearts
And beautifully wrapped presents too
But stop for a while and pray for those
Who clearly don't have as much as you.
For folk who do not possess a home
Having no one they can call their own
May they find a shelter, food and love
Also kindness that’s affably shown.
Remember those who’re facing conflict
Their world being embittered by war
If only they could become as us
And living within peaceful rapport.
Jovial Christmas celebrations
Are magical times for all to share
Love and respect for one and other
Showing how much we truly do care.
