Christmas Mourning---

CHRISTMAS MOURNING---

                       Christmas mourning, some 43 years ago;
                                 This I shall let you know……
                                        He was a Vet;
                               Yet lived a sheltered, life;
                                      Has a lovely wife;
                                      But she died first;
                                       This wintry day;
                        This month the month of December;
                                       I remember;
                   I can remember because it was on Christmas;
                        Mankind decided day of Christ birth;
                        And it hurts so, I was yet mourning…
                             It was on Christmas morning…
             Still I was hurt, crying on this twenty-fifth day, a day..
                              They say, Jesus was born;
                                      I remember;
                         It was on Christmas morning…
                     Because my dad died Christmas mourning;
                          I lie in wait praising the borning;
                              Lead a new soul to heaven;
                                   Yet still sadden;
                                 And a bit madden;
                    My daddy died on a Christmas Mourning?
