Christmas Magic
Choo choo train round the Christmas tree
brings such memories back to me.
Of days of family all around
Christmas times and Christmas sounds.
Cookies baked on tables high,
Stockings all hung nearby.
Mugs of cocoa hot and sweet
Many delicious things to eat.
Mom and Dad with their ten elves
couldn't keep hands to themselves.
When looking at dreams all wrapped and bowed
Christmas lights softly glowed.
Christmas music played on and on
winter moon shines on snowy lawn.
Waiting for Santa's arrival
Every man, woman and child.
Precisely at midnight's strike
waking children shook the night
Thundering down the lone staircase
Each staking out their unwrapping place.
The sight of gifts shone in those eyes
Reflecting happiness deep inside
The mystery of those gifts contained
Would soon turn to joy unrestrained
Within moments gift wrap strewn
All now ended much too soon.
But for those elves there was no sadness
For with our family there was much gladness
You see, we knew that Christmas meant more
That you could not find it's worth in any store
It's value was in all twelve of us
Sharing true togetherness.
