Notes About The Poem

Author's Notes: This poem, "Christmas Love," is written as a "Dodoitsu," which is a Japanese fixed folk song form. It's configured into a 26-syllable standalone stanza of four lines of 7, 7, 7, 5 syllables respectively. (This special Japanese form is both unrhymed and non-metrical.) In the case of "Christmas Love," I have a linked-form Dodoitsu, consisting of two Dodoitsu stanzas. The overall message of this particular write speaks for itself. Merry Christmas!! Christmas Love

December’s that special month,
For heavenly thanks and grace;
Family renewal time,
And our special love!

We celebrate with great joy,
And think of others we love;
A time now for God’s Blessing,
