Christmas List To Mom
I WROTE THIS FOR MY DAUGHTER IN 1982..BACK THEN
THE THINGS I WROTE ABOUT WAS IN STYLE....
I'm to old for dolls and lots of toys
or frilly things and to young for boys
I'm in between now as you can see
let me pick my gifts for me
I think I'll start with a pair of jeans
to shirts and socks and other things
a pair of shoes I'd like to have Nike's
only shoes like that can be right
oh!and mom not just any jeans
Calvin Klein's no in between
I have to get a sweater you know
to keep me warm and keep out the snow
a pair of roller skates now I think to
only things like that will ever do
Atari is the game for me
playing Pac_man till I'm home free
a little make up but not to much
to much trouble and a lot of fuss
fingernail polish clear will do
a bracelet,a ring, a necklace or two
now I guess I will be as happy as can be
if only you'll get these things for me
but I'll be surprised no matter what
even if I know whats in every box
now mom this list is just for you
only you can make my dreams come true
oh! I know this Christmas will be
the happiest one I'll ever see
now what else and where to go
mom, I'm only twelve you know
Mom! wait,my lists not thru
just one more thing I love you......
