Christmas is Lost

Christmas is now so media driven. Now all people care about are the gifts that they're given. The real message of Christmas has got itself lost. While families struggle with how to cope with the cost. It starts in October, commercials rammed down our throats. When all that they want is your hard earned banknotes. A materialistic world of the have and have nots. The real message of Christmas that time has forgot. The true spirit of Christmas is God gave to this earth. It was the ultimate gift of his son and his birth. As Jesus was born to bring love, hope, and joy. The celebration of Christmas we all should rejoice. The real essence of Christmas is a story retold. It isn't found in the gifts wrapped in paper that's gold. What God gave to this earth was a gift from above. Jesus Christ, he was born to show us true love. Remember, joy isn't found in possessions or gain. It is found in the love we show, again and again. So gather your loved ones, create festive cheer. Let's treasure those moments as Christmas draws near. Remember, Christmas was meant for us all to embrace. A time to show faith for our God and his grace. For amidst all the frenzy that can pull us apart. The true gift that is Christmas it begins in your heart.

Christmas seems to have lost its true meaning and is now very commercial. I wrote a poem on the same theme back in 2020 called Christmas Without. I am enjoying your poems Sean and will be back to read more. Emilia : )
