Christmas Babe
God didn't send a warrior bold
With drawn sword and shield
To face the evil of this world
And make old Satan yield.
Instead he sent His newborn Son
Wrapped in His Father's love
To captivate the world of men
With message from above.
Imagine this small innocent
With duty so immense,
Expected to save us all from sin
With love his one defense.
No soldiers did He rally round,
But simple fishermen
Who stayed to bring the world his word
When He went home again.
The message the Apostles spread
Has traveled a long way,
Two Thousand and Nine years to us.
We celebrate his day.
